Honestly it really depends if you think that you'll be able to maintain it.
I used to do art threads all the time but then I realized since I don't often get feedback because of the shift in online community dynamics it's kind of redundant to for me since I feel like if I'm going to show off my work or my process I'll just post it to my art pages. That's just me.
If you feel you can do it and you feel that it's worth it, then do.
